The Uconn Huskies (35-3) match up against the Purdue Boilermakers (34-4) in the National Championship game Monday night.
The Huskies were in a tight game against Alabama Saturday for most of the night until Donovan Clingan, who had 18 points, and the rest of the starting lineup went on a big run to stretch the lead out late in the 2nd half.
The Boilermakers, on the other hand, controlled a low-scoring game vs NC State, with Zach Edey getting 20 points and grabbing 14 boards.
Will Uconn get their second straight and sixth overall national title, or will Purdue win it all for the 1st time in program history?

Key Stats
Uconn Huskies
Uconn is right back in the national championship game for the 2nd straight year. The Huskies dominant tournament run continued Saturday night vs Alabama with a 14 point win. We still have yet to see this Uconn team in a close game late in the 2nd half because of how much they win by. The Huskies have weapons galore with guards Tristian Newton and Cam Spencer and big men Donovan Clingan and Alex Karaban. The fact that they are one big win away from blowing the doors off two straight NCAA tournaments is unreal.
Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue is in the national title game a year after losing to 16th seeded FDU in the first round. A win here would put a bow on the redemption season and bring the first national championship to West Lafayette. The Boilermakers won an ugly game vs NC State, but they were never in real trouble and led the whole game. Purdue is led by back-to-back national player of the year Zach Edey.
Game Prediction
After seeing Uconn win yet another tournament game by double digits, I may just retire from ever thinking anyone can keep it close. I thought Bama would make them sweat, but the Huskies STILL won by 14. The matchup with Purdue could be a good one, with Edey and Clingan being the highlight. Even if Edey has a great game, Uconn’s depth may prove to be too much for the supporting cast of Purdue. I’ll feel like a fool if I fade Uconn again so I’m taking the Huskies to cover the 7 points and win back-to-back national championships.
Final Pick
Uconn -7 (-115)
