Best Prop Bets for Lions vs Cowboys Week 6

detroit lions

This weekend, the Detroit Lions will travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys in what should be an exciting game. The Dallas Cowboys just defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, with Dak Prescott and the offense gaining over 400 yards of offense. The Detroit Lions just returned from a bye week during which they improved the health of every team member. Center Frank Ragnow and safety Brian Branch will be healthy and active this week. This is expected to be a fun and close game,  and here are 3 bets that I believe are the most likely to cash on Sunday afternoon.

Detroit Lions- David Montgomery: Over 56.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs will try to take advantage of the Dallas Cowboys’ ranking as one of the weakest run defense teams in the NFL. Montgomery didn’t play well on the ground against Seattle in week 4, so expect him to pick up his game and get off to a quick start. The current line is 56.5 yards, which he should have no trouble reaching. Although Montgomery has only hit this mark in two out of the four games this season, the Lions will want to run the ball a lot and get Montgomery going early because of how weak the Cowboys’ run defense is.

Dallas Cowboys- CeeDee Lamb: Over 86.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Being one of the NFL’s top receivers, CeeDee Lamb will provide the Lions’ cornerbacks with a formidable obstacle. This season, the Lions corners have been underwhelming, giving up huge games to wide receivers like Chris Godwin, Cooper Kupp, and DK Metcalf. Last season against the Lions, Ceedee Lamb ran wild against the Lions, racking up 227 yards and a score. Rookie Terrion Arnold, who is expected to get the bulk of the reps against Lamb, has been good in coverage, but he has been penalized a lot and will probably be burned by Lamb once or twice.

Lamb’s current line is set at 86.5 yards, and despite only hitting that line in two out of the five games this year, expect Dak Prescott will look his way a lot in this game and record a big game in the air.

Detroit Lions- Jared Goff: 250+ Passing Yards (+106)

Jared Goff played a perfect game against Seattle, and while I don’t think he’s perfect again, I expect him to have another great game against Dallas. DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons won’t be available for Dallas, so Goff will have plenty of time to throw. With Daron Bland also questionable for this game, Goff should have little trouble finding open guys to target. Against Seattle, he was able to routinely find open guys, so expect that to continue. He will likely search the center of the field immediately for Sam LaPorta, especially with linebacker Eric Kendricks out.

Although he has only hit this number twice this year, he should have no trouble hitting this one given Dallas’s weak defense and with several key players out.
