This week, our NCAA Football feature betting game will be the annual Iron Bowl rivalry game between the Auburn Tigers and the 13th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Our feature game betting record now stands at 4-2 Against the Spread after last week’s Army-Notre Dame over 44 cashed at the betting windows. Auburn (5-6, 2-5) comes into this year’s Iron Bowl off last week’s big upset win over Texas A&M.
The Crimson Tide (8-3, 4-3) were dealt a serious blow to their playoff hopes after losing 24-3 to Oklahoma. The Tide will now most likely need some outside help to qualify for this year’s new college football playoff. Auburn has not won in Alabama since 2010 and would like nothing better than to crush any limited chance that Alabama might have at making the college football playoffs.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze was able to defeat Alabama twice while coaching at Ole Miss. First Alabama coach Kalen Deboer will look to avoid a four-loss season, which would be among the worst in a long time for the Tide.

Prediction
We will back the Auburn Tigers +11.5 versus the Alabama Crimson Tide. A couple of angles here as to why we chose the Tigers. The first is the motivation factor; Auburn needs a win to be bowl-eligible. In contrast, Alabama does not have a lot to play for, as they are most likely on the outside looking in on the college football playoff.
Auburn comes in playing very well of late, having won two straight and three of four, including last week’s outright underdog win versus Texas A&M. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in their last five as a dog and 3-1-1 ATS the last five versus the Crimson Tide. The dog is barking in this one, the Auburn Tigers +11.5 is our NCAA feature play of the week.
