The Detroit Lions travel to Indianapolis this weekend to play the Colts in what could be a surprisingly close game. The Lions are coming off a great win against the Jaguars where they put up 52 points for the second time this year and allowed 0 TDs on defense. This was their most complete game of the year, showing that they are one of the most dominant teams all around in the NFL.
The Colts are coming off a win against the Jets, where their offense bounced back with Anthony Richardson back at QB. Richardson will start again this Sunday and will look to improve yet again. This game could end up being much closer than most people expect, and here are 3 bets that I think have the best chance to hit Sunday afternoon.
Detroit Lions vs Indianapolis Colts Match Details
- Fixture: Lucas Oil Stadium
- Date: November 24
- Time: 1 pm EST
Jahmyr Gibbs: 100+ Rushing + Receiving Yards (+115)
Jahmyr Gibbs has been great this year and look for his great season continuing on Sunday. The Colts have allowed the 3rd most rushing yards this season, having multiple running backs have big games against them. Gibbs currently leads the league in yards per carry and has shown that he can run through anybody. He also showed last week that he can be very effective in the passing game, having a huge 54-yard catch and run.
He has hit 100 total yards 6 times this year and 4 out of the last 5 games. The big concern when betting on Detroit Lions running backs is always their touches, but I think he should get enough Sunday to hit 100 yards for the 7th time this year.
Alec Pierce: Over 30.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Alec Pierce has been the Colt’s deep threat this year and has been very productive. He leads the NFL in yards per catch and is on pace for almost 1000 yards. The Lions have been good against the deep ball, with the help of Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch, but I do think Pierce gets a few big catches this week. The current line is 30.5 yards, which he has hit in 7 out of 11 games. He should be able to hit this line with ease and should have another good game as a deep ball target for Anthony Richardson.
Jameson Williams: Over 2.5 Receptions (-128)
Jameson Williams has really shown out this year as a wide receiver two, proving to be a great and reliable target for Jared Goff. Williams has been one of Goff’s favorite targets recently, and that should continue this Sunday. The Colts have given up the 5th most passing yards, so Williams should be able to get open multiple times. The current line is 2.5 receptions, which he has 5 of 8 games this year. He should be able to get open for multiple catches and should be able to hit this number easily.
