Washington Commanders will begin their NFL preseason away to the New York Jets on Saturday. Commanders coach Dan Quinn revealed that their No.2 overall pick quarterback Jayden Daniels will play a part in the game.
Many NFL rookies are getting used to the rigorous training of the League. Washington’s rookie QB Daniels comes in with high expectations to perform well as the second pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
The New York Jets are looking to continue their defensive streak. During the 2023 NFL preseason, the Jets’ super-defensive structure locked down Panthers’ Bryce Young to only one first down in three possessions.

This exhibition match at MetLife Stadium is a chance for Daniels the winner of the Heisman Trophy to show his abilities in an actual NFL game. Last season, the Washington Commanders QB had 40 TD passes with only four interceptions as he rushed the ball for 10 TD in 12 games while playing for LSU.
As training camp continues, rookies are looking to get some minutes in the NFL preseason to get a feel of the League.
