Washington sits in first place in the NFC East and would keep it that way with a win this weekend.

The Carolina Panthers are going to cover the 8.5-point spread this weekend against the Washington Commanders. I believe the Commanders with this game outright, however, 8.5 is simply too many points to swallow.
With a rushing attack that features the third leading rusher in the NFL with Chuba Hubbard going against a team that just lost one of, if not, their best run stopper in Jonathan Allen, this game will be closer than people think. Hubbard will have success in this game, which doesn’t allow the Commanders to gain extra possessions. Washington wins but the Panthers cover the spread.
