Sitting comfortably at 53 points, 42 assists, and 11 goals, in 40 games. The team captain Mark Stone was absent from the action for quite some time but has propelled the VGK’s performance since his comeback. In 26 games played, Stone holds 35 points from 11 goals and 24 assists.
Moving down the line from here, some of the most notable players have been: Shea Theodore, Tomas Hertl, Ivan Barbashev, and Adin Hill. Despite the presence of the VGK, their defense has been slowly improving since the season kickoff, keyword… slowly.
New York Islanders
The New York Islanders have been anything but remarkable in the last few years. With newcomers Maxim Tsyplakov and Anthony Duclair, the hopes have been high for the 2024-2025 NHL season. Bright eyes and bold predictions toted Tsyplakov to score 20 goals, and Duclair, Bo Havart, and Mathew Barzal to be the fiercest top-line in the NHL. It’s all but clear the Islanders need a sub. Coming into tonight’s game, they hold last place in the East, Metropolitan division with a season record of 15-18-7.
The New York Islanders’ top point holder, Anders Lee, has played an even 40 games, has 32 points from 18 goals, and 14 assists. Comparatively to the Vegas Golden Knights top point earner, who has played 40 games and holds 53 points. The New York Islanders have shown up in a few games, and have checked out of the majority. They currently are tied for 26th in the league for point percentage, and 32nd in penalty-kill percentage as well as power play. As disappointing as it may be, finding a silver lining with this team is nothing short of a challenge.

The Golden Knights have been on a constant up while the Islanders have been on a constant, well disappointment streak.
