The Sacramento Kings (32-23) travel to LA to take on the Los Angeles Clippers (37-18) tonight. Tonight’s hosts have the regular season series lead. Additionally, they have dominated their opposition so far this season. Not only do they have a 2-0 lead over their opponents this evening, but the closest game was by 20 points.
However, the visitors are 9-5 in their last 14 games. But it remains to be seen if they can pull things together against teams with winning records after the All-Star Break. But they travel to Denver the other night and pull off a convincing win.
Do you see the away side getting another impressive road win tonight?

Sacramento hopes to avoid the play-in. They currently sit in seventh. But everyone knows there’s a lot to play for and seeding will change before we get to the playoffs. But the Sacramento Kings are on a two-game winning streak. However, extending that to three will be a tough task against the Clippers. Nonetheless, they have avenues to put up at least a better performance than their last two games against this team. If even they don’t win, playing well and keeping it close will be a good sign tonight.
But Domantas Sabonis continues to be a consistent threat to get a triple-double. It’s hard to see him at least not having a good game. His versatility and basketball IQ lead him to rarely have an off-night. Additionally, De’Aaron Fox is a matchup nightmare. When you consider he shoots 37.5% from range, he’s nearly impossible to guard. The Sacramento Kings should be able to put up points. But they’ll have their hands full facing the length and experience of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Los Angeles views itself as a top team in the NBA. They are third in the Western Conference and only sit two games back of the conference leaders. But they’ve lost two of their last four games. Additionally, Paul George is a game-time decision with knee soreness. Therefore, this game may be a little more difficult than what some are anticipating. At full health, this is a championship contender. But injuries continue to be an ongoing concern with this roster.
However, even without George, they have firepower. Kawhi Leonard should lead the way. Also, James Harden and Russell Westbrook should be able to pick up the slack. This team can be dangerous. Although they may not be with George tonight, they should be able to keep things competitive and will look to outclass the Sacramento Kings. While they want to have all of their stars, they have a good ability to shift things around and compete, even if only one of their stars can’t go.

Game Prediction
This game will be closer than what the odds dictate. Even though the past matchups have not been close, this is a different Sacramento Kings team. Especially with George not being at full health, even if he plays I like the visitors to keep tonight within the spread. Although a win would be something, it’s more likely that the Clippers defend their home court, but that the visitors keep it close.
Furthermore, I like both teams to score a bit more today than anticipated. Especially without the perimeter defense from one of the Clipper’s stars, I expect the Over to hit. Especially if Sabonis gets it going for the Sacramento Kings, his playmaking will help push the Over tonight.
Final Pick
Sacramento Kings +5 and Over 239
