Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Preview, Predictions and Odds| March 4 2024

Sacramento Kings

The Chicago  Bulls (28-32) travel to the Sacramento Kings (34-25) for a Monday night matchup. These teams faced off in February, and it was a narrow eight-point win for the Kings. However, the Kings have won three of their last five games and have had multiple impressive performances. Meanwhile, the Bulls are winners of two of the last four games.

However, they not only have a couple of lopsided losses but also one glaring mark on their most recent resume. Regardless, this game is expected to play out in a similar fashion to the first one. Although there is some injury news that needs to be monitored, for the most part, who you expect to be available is playing tonight. While neither team is necessarily at full health, the bulk of long-term injuries are on the Chicago Bulls side.

But do you see the Bulls getting a win away from home, or will the Kings get a comfortable win tonight?

Key Stats

Sacramento Kings

Sacramento Kings

Sacramento should stand a good chance of not only getting into the playoffs but also winning a round or two. They are strong on the offensive end and impose several matchup issues through Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis averages 19.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game, but De’Aaron Fox is questionable and is going through a knee issue.

However, he participated in the morning shootaround and is expected to be good to go for the game. Additionally, Malik Monk is coming off a 39-point game from the bench against the Minnesota Timberwolves. While he can’t be counted on to always score that much, the Sacramento Kings hope that he can keep up his good form of play against the Chicago Bulls tonight.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago hopes to get in the win column. Although completely unlikely, they are still in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. However, a four-and-a-half-game gap is unrealistic to overcome at this point. But if the Indiana Pacers fell and Chicago were to get hot, they could find themselves in a slightly more advantageous position for the Play-In Tournament. Moreover, it’s important not to drop too many games, as there’s only a four-point cushion between them and the 11th-seeded Brooklyn Nets at the moment.

Therefore, being without Alex Caruso could be a big deal, as he is questionable with a hamstring injury. However, DeMar DeRozan averages 22.7 points a game, and he’s likely to carry the team on his back today. Furthermore, Nikola Vucevic is a monster on the glass, averaging 10.7 rebounds per game. But his most important task tonight will be limiting Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings.

Game Prediction

I expect a dominant win for the Sacramento Kings. If this were college basketball, this wouldn’t exactly be a resume-building win. However, it would be an important game to not lose. It is a similar line of thought: the Kings don’t necessarily need to win this game to prove that they belong in the playoffs. Moreover, winning against a very beatable team shows that they belong in the upper echelon of Western teams. But only if they control the game from start to finish.

Furthermore, while a victory is expected tonight, I am going to pick against the spread and side with the home team. Even if Fox is unable to play, the Kings are healthier and simply playing better at the moment. Regardless of whether Caruso is able to go or not, I see the overall talent and offensive power of the Sacramento Kings to be too much for the Chicago Bulls.

Final Pick

Sacramento Kings -6
