The San Antonio Spurs (15-55) host the Phoenix Suns (41-29). This is a game that features two teams that may be closer than they initially appear. Of course, the Spurs are closer to competing for a lottery, but the Phoenix have not looked as impressive as the roster would suggest. Furthermore, they have dropped winnable games and have looked bad in some of their recent losses and even wins. But they hope to secure a comfortable win on the road and move on to their next opponent. However, the Spurs have won the last two of this regular-season series.
Therefore, do you see San Antonio defending home court tonight against Phoenix?

Key Stats
Phoenix Suns
Phoenix needs to get on a roll before the playoffs start. They’re led in scoring by Kevin Durant. Durant averages 27.6 points per game. Additionally, Devin Booker is someone to always look out for. Booker averages 27.1 points per game. However, these two scoring isn’t usually the issue. Instead, they need a third person to step up. Therefore, Isaiah Thomas is someone to look for. He may not see the minutes that he does, and it’s to be determined if he can play at the same high level. But considering he came off of a DNP, he’s someone who could break out against this San Antonio Spurs backcourt and their defense for the Phoenix Suns.
San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio hopes that Victor Wembanyama can remain amazing. Wembanyama averages 20.9 points per game as well as 10.5 rebounds per game. However, the secondary player to watch for is Devin Vassell. Vassell averages 19.4 points per game. Furthermore, he’s coming off a strong performance against the Memphis Grizzlies, as he scored 27 points. They both need a good game against the Phoenix Suns.

Game Prediction
This is a Phoenix Suns team that allows less competition to sneak around. Therefore, this game should be closer than what the spread indicates. But the San Antonio side is known to let teams dictate the pace and the game, especially as the game wears on. Often, if the game were only the last three quarters, the Spurs would actually win. But too often, the fourth quarter proves to be too much. However, considering how the Suns have played during the latter half of their season, I am taking the San Antonio Spurs to cover tonight.
Final Pick
San Antonio Spurs +10
