Week 2 of the NFL football season is upon us and let’s get to our three-team parlay. In addition, you can use these same plays on a money line parlay or bet them straight up. Last week we went 2-1 ATS and narrowly missed hitting the parlay.
Our NFL Football Parlays target sharps plays. Sharp plays are betting lines indicating reverse line movements or a line hold. We also identify games where the Vegas books have the most liability on a certain team. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day. Remember that the probability of cashing a three-team parlay is 6/1, so a realistic goal is for us to hit on two or three for the season.
The betting lines discussed are the consensus posted at Vegas Insider and are subject to change. To be a profitable sports bettor, the odds are in your favor to stay away from public plays, usually the betting favorite.
Parlay Leg #1: New York Giants +1.5
The Giants come in off the disappointing 28-6 opening game loss to the Vikings. They were outgained 312-240, averaged a mere 3.5 yards per play and Jones was sacked five times. Jones averaged a paltry 4.4 YPA and was intercepted twice. Malik Nabers, their top draft pick, did flash with a 5-66 line and 13.2 YPC. The Giants come 6-4 ATS last ten games and 6-4 ATS last ten games as an underdog. Against the Commanders, the Giants are 8-2 ATS last ten games, and a perfect 5-0 ATS last five in Washington. The New York Giants -1.5 are parlay play number one for week two.
Parlay Leg #2: Bengals/Chiefs over 47
The Chiefs right now are the Vegas book’s biggest betting liability in week two. We expect an active underdog Bengals team trying to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start. Historically the Bengals and Burrow have matched well against the Chiefs. The over 7-3 in the Bengal’s last 10 and 4-1 in their last five away games. Even though Kansas City at home does not have a recent great over trend, the total has risen to 48 at some books. Bengals/Chiefs over 47 parlay play number two.
Parlay Leg #3: Minnesota Vikings +5.5
As of Wednesday, San Francisco is getting 65% of initial spread bets and 60% of money line wagers. The 49ers are traveling east of the short week. McCaffrey is still questionable as of this writing, but did practice Thursday. The Vikings are starting or getting some sharp action as the line has come down from 6.5 to 5.5 and in some spots 5. The opening money line has dipped from Minnesota +275 down to +250.
Minnesota is 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against San Francisco and 9-1 ATS in their last 10. Sam Darnold played very efficiently in week one, posting a 19-24 for 208 yards and two touchdowns. We back the home underdog Vikings getting 5.5, in the final leg in our parlay.
