Pacific Division Odds and Prediction at the 2024 All-Star Break: Canada vs. the Field

NHL Pacific Division Odds Las Vegas Golden Knights Los Angeles Kings Vancouver Canucks Edmonton Oilers

The Pacific Division odds have had a lot of interesting moves lately. Before January began, the Los Angeles Kings were highly regarded to take the Pacific Division crown. Then, a disastrous month (3-7-5) knocked them into fourth place and got their head coach fired.

Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers have been red hot lately. The Vegas Golden Knights have been steadily solid, but nothing crazy. Through it all, the Vancouver Canucks continue to play well. As with every other division, here are the Pacific Division odds before the final stretch of the regular season.

Vancouver is not only in great shape to win the Pacific Division, they are tied atop the league’s standings for the Presidents’ Trophy. January was their best month yet, giving them a firm lead among NHL teams in goal differential. The Canucks are second in goals per game and goals allowed per game.

The Canucks are hunting their first division title since they won the Northwest Division in its final season over a decade ago. They have a cozy seven-point lead with 33 games left on their schedule. Vancouver is on the right path.

Contender: Edmonton Oilers (29-15-1; 59 Points; Odds to Win Division: +210)

The Oilers had a nightmare start to this campaign. With one coaching change, everything was flipped on its head. Now, Edmonton is second in points percentage among Pacific Division teams and leapfrogged the Kings for third in the standings.

Edmonton’s pursuit of the crown has been powered by their active 16-game winning streak. It dates back to December 21, 2023, and the Oilers are one win away from tying the NHL record for longest single-season winning streak. If the Oilers continue this pace, those Pacific Division odds will continue to creep towards matching the Canucks’.
