Oregon Ducks vs Colorado Buffaloes Preview, Predictions, and Odds | March 16, 2024

Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks (22-11, 12-8 P12) match up with the Colorado Buffaloes (24-9, 13-7 P12) in the last ever Pac-12 championship game Saturday night.

Colorado swept the regular season vs Oregon this year with wins in both Boulder and Eugene. Colorado is projected as a lock for this year’s NCAA tournament win or lose here, while the Ducks are in a win-and-in scenario Saturday night in Vegas.

Will the Ducks find some more March magic to get in the big dance or will the Buffaloes go off into the Pac-12 sunset with a tournament title?

March surge: Win streak continues as CU Buffs men's basketball tops Oregon – BuffZone

The Oregon Ducks are in their first Pac-12 championship game since 2019 after a stunning 67-59 win over the top seeded Arizona Wildcats. The Ducks have been playing lights out defense so far this tournament, only giving up an average of 62.5 points per game. Against Arizona on Friday, Jackson Shelstad and James Cousinard combined for 41 points in the backcourt. N’Faly Dante added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado has been on fire lately, winning 8 games in a row including a win at the Oregon Ducks 79-75 earlier this month. The Buffaloes are coming off Pac-12 tourney wins against Utah and Washington State. They are lead by guard KJ Simpson (19.5 PPG) and forward Tristan da Silva (16 PPG). Also, Colorado has has freshman Cody Williams (12.8 PPG) in the front court, who is a projected top 5 pick in this year’s NBA draft.

Game Prediction

The Oregon Ducks confidence has to be at an all time high right now after knocking off the top team in the conference. Dana Altman looks to be getting the boys ready for March as the Ducks have now won 3 games in a row. While Colorado beat Oregon in a close game last week, I think the Oregon Ducks get revenge today and punch their ticket to the dance with a Pac-12 championship.

Final Pick

Oregon Ducks +2.5
