Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs Injury Report| April 10, 2024

San Antonio Spurs

The Oklahoma City Thunder (54-25) host the San Antonio Spurs (20-59) for a Wednesday evening game.

The Thunder are mostly healthy and good to go. Furthermore, they are ready for an upcoming playoff run. Conversely, the San Antonio Spurs are on the completely opposite end of that spectrum in terms of that. They are not only banged up, but they are closer to competing for a top overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft than anything else.

But when you look at the two injury reports, do you see any pathway for the Spurs to be able to at least keep this one close?

San Antonio Spurs Injury Filled End To Season

The San Antonio Spurs are without Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan for the remainder of the year. Furthermore, Jeremy Sochan is dealing with injuries toward the end of the year as well. This has led to an increase in responsibility for Victor Wembanyama. And as great as he is, he is too young to necessarily shoulder the entire burden of a franchise every game in an NBA season. Therefore, it makes sense that he’s on today’s surgery report as out with rest.

While some may be quick to criticize, this is a move that many should have seen coming. The Frenchman himself is dealing with injuries and likely needs this time off. The San Antonio Spurs aren’t playing much outside of pride for the remainder of the games, but they hope to get whoever is available back for at least one more game this season.
