A huge slate of games for tonight in the NHL, with 11 games going. There are all kinds of action available, but here are some of our favorite bets from the guys on “The Stew with JT Brew” podcast, which airs its “NHL Around the Ice” segment every Wednesday night on the Total Apex Sports YouTube channel, has cooked up for you. Here are the best bets and player props for February 13, 2024.
NHL Best Bets: Colorado Avalanche (-192) at Washington Capitals (+158) – 7:00 PM EST
Over/Under 6.5 Goals
The Colorado Avalanche have started February with a dud, losing all four games this month by a combined score of 16-6. The Avs need to get off the skid and this is the spot to do it. They have been a good scoring team on the road this season, while the Washington Capitals have given up three or more goals in seven of their last eight games. I like Colorado to go over team goals. The Avs Nathan McKinnon hasn’t scored in three games, and they will need a spark from him to get back in the win column. I like his chances to score and go over on shots.

Two-Play Parlay – Nathan McKinnon 4+ shots (-215) and Anytime Goal (-105) in SGP (+147) on FanDuel.
NHL Best Bets: St. Louis Blues at Toronto Maple Leafs (-225) – 7:00 PM EST
Over/Under 6.5 Goals (-110)
The Blues are on a hot streak winning seven of their last eight games. They have also scored three goals or more in all of those wins. The Maples Leafs are seventh in the league in goals scored this year and 19th in goals scored against. I’m seeing points in mass in this one. Auston Matthews has 10 goals in the last 10 games. Mitch Marner is do to have a game. I like him to get an assist in this one.
Single Bets – Total goals alternate total of 5.5 goals (-165) on DraftKings, Auston Matthews Anytime goal (-150), Mitch Marner over 0.5 assists (-166)
NHL Best Bets: Anaheim Ducks (-102) at Montreal Canadians (-118) – 7:00 PM EST
Over/Under 5.5 Goals
These two teams are pretty evenly matched when you run down the team statistics. The Canadians are in a tougher division and are at home, though they have lost their last two homes games to the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues. The Canadians Nick Suzuki has a point in 10 straight games and has six points in his last three games. The Ducks have struggled to slow teams down of late, making this another nice spot for Suzuki to get a point.
Single Bets – Montreal ML (-118) on DraftKings, Suzuki over 0.5 points (-230) on DraftKings
Columbus Blue Jackets (+160) at Ottawa Senators (-192) – 7:00 PM EST
Over/Under 7 Goals
Both teams have really struggled this season keeping opponents from lighting the lamp. The Columbus Blue Jackets are 31st in the league in goals against while the Ottawa Senators are 25th in goals against. The Senators Brady Tkachuk has 23 shots on goal in his last seven games. There are a couple different shot prop options, but I like the plus money of the 4.5 shots on goal line, especially if you want to throw that in a parlay.
