We are back again for week six of our NCAA football parlay, to recap, we went 1-2 ATS with our parlay picks and we missed on our parlay. That brings us to an 8-8 record ATS year with our NCAA picks, as we look to get back on track in week 6. We will have full disclosure each week to track progress. Remember that the probability of cashing a three-team parlay is 6/1, so a realistic goal is for us to hit on two or three for the season.
In addition, you can play these picks straight up or as a money-line parlay. Our NCAA Football Parlays will target sharp plays, line holds, or games where Vegas books have a heavy liability on one team. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day.
The betting lines are those posted by the consensus at Vegas Insider and are subject to change. To be a profitable sports bettor, the odds are in your favor to stay away from public plays, usually the betting favorite.
Parlay Leg #1: B.C. Eagles +1.5 (Alternate Spread)
The opening leg of this week’s NCAA Football parlay is the Boston College Eagles +1.5 versus the Virginia Cavaliers. Boston College is a sharp play here as the opening line of 2.5 has dropped down to 1 even though Virginia is getting 58% of the spread and 55% of the money bets. Boston College is a profitable 3-2 ATS this season and 4-1 SU. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in the last five and 6-4 ATS in their last ten away games. Boston College is also outscoring their opponents by two touchdowns per game this season. We are buying the hook and taking the Eagles +1.5 in parlay leg number one.
Parlay Leg #2: Minnesota Golden Gophers +8.5
The middle leg finds us another sharp play and reverse line movement. We are backing the Minnesota Golden Gophers +8.5 versus the USC Trojans. Minnesota fresh off last week’s cover against Michigan is 3-1-1 ATS this season. USC is getting 78% of the spread but the sharp money is on the Golden Gophers as the opening line of 9.5 has already dropped to 8.5 as of this writing. USC is 3-7 ATS in the last ten as a favorite. Minnesota is only giving up 15.4 points per game therefore we take the points with an implied game total that is dropping.
Parlay Leg #3: Texas Tech/Arizona over 64
The final leg of our parlay takes us West, as we like the over 64 in the Texas Tech Red Raiders game versus the Arizona Wildcats. The rule of three system fits here as Arizona has played to the under in three straight games. We also find some sharp money on the over as well, 85% of the total bets are on the under, and yet the number rose from an opening 62.5 to the current 64. Texas Tech gives up 34.4 points per game and the over is profitable 3-2 this season. We take the over 64 in the anchor leg of our week six parlay.
