College Football Parlay Power Picks: Week 5

parlay

We are back again for week five of our NCAA football parlay, to recap, we again went 2-1 Against The Spread with our parlay picks, our bonus pick hit, but we missed on our parlay. That brings us to a 7-6 record ATS year with our NCAA picks. We will have full disclosure each week to track progress. Remember that the probability of cashing a three-team parlay is 6/1, so a realistic goal is for us to hit on two or three for the season.

In addition, you can play these picks straight up or as a money-line parlay. Our NCAA Football Parlays will target sharp plays, line holds, or games where Vegas books have a heavy liability on one team. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day.

The betting lines are those posted by the consensus at Vegas Insider and are subject to change. To be a profitable sports bettor, the odds are in your favor to stay away from public plays, usually the betting favorite.

Leg #1: Auburn Tigers +3 (Alternate Spread)

Parlay Plays
Auburn Tiger Jarquez Hunter runs the ball against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The opening leg of our parlay is the Auburn Tigers +2 versus the 21st-ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The sharps are on Auburn this week as Oklahoma is getting 78% of the spread and 87% of the money wagers. Even with that action, the line dropped a full point off the opening number of +3. Auburn is outscoring opponents 36.5-16.75 per game but has been up and down this season. Auburn is 6-4 ATS in the last ten and 5-4-1 ATS in their last ten as an underdog. With the public smashing Oklahoma we will back the underdog Tigers in the opening leg of our parlay.

Leg #2: Texas/Mississippi St First Half Over 34.5

The middle leg of our parlay is the first half over 34.5 in the Texas/Mississippi State SEC battle. Texas is the big favorite with a high implied team total we target in the first half over the total play. Texas is averaging 47.5 points per game and Mississippi State gives up nearly 31 per game, so this sets up nicely for the Texas offense. In addition, Mississippi State is competent offensively averaging 31 points per game. We take the first half over 31.5 in the middle leg of our parlay.

Leg #3: Alabama Crimson Tide +2

The final leg of our parlay is the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide +2 versus the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia is getting 63% of the spread bets but the respected money is on Alabama. The line opened at Georgia -4.5 and has since dropped down to Georgia -2.

Alabama is 8-1 SU in the last nine versus Georgia and 9-1 SU in their last ten at home. This is a huge statement game for Alabama and a great spot to fade the public in prime time. Give us the home underdog Tide in the final leg of our week five parlay.
