We return this time for an NCAA basketball parlay; it has been a while for us. We sit at 6-1 ATS on the season after our Seton Hall-Villanova selection did not cover back on Dec. 17. That broke our six-game ATS streak to start the college basketball season.
If you followed us during the NFL season, you know our selections target games seeing respected money or those where Vegas books have a heavy liability—in other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day. Parlay Leg #1: Cincinnati Bearcats +3.5
The opening leg of our NCAA basketball parlay will be the Cincinnati Bearcats +3.5 over the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Bearcats are in a revenge spot here as they lost outright to the Mountaineers as a 3.5 favorite back on February 2. We are also seeing a line hold with West Virginia getting 54% of the spread bets and 67% of the money, and yet the line has not moved off the opening number of 3.5. The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and a profitable 3-2 ATS in the last five on the road. Cincinnati Bearcats +3.5 for play number one.
Parlay Leg #2: Notre Dame Fighting Irish +1.5
The middle leg of our parlay will be the Notre Dame Fighting Irish +1.5 over the SMU Mustangs. We are seeing a reverse line movement on the Irish, SMU is getting 69% of the tickets and 76% of the money, and yet the line dropped a point in the Notre Dame direction. The Irish are 8-6 ATS overall this season and 6-4 ATS in their last ten as an underdog. SMU enters just 4-5-1 ATS in the last ten at home therefore, we will back the home underdog Fighting Irish for play number two.
Parlay Leg #3: Arkansas Razorbacks +15.5
The anchor leg of our NCAA parlay is the Arkansas Razorbacks +15.5 over the Auburn Tigers. We are sticking our neck on this one, but Coach John Calipari’s Arkansas squad sits at 15-10 SU and needs signature wins to make the NCAA tournament. We are seeing some sharp money coming in on the Razorbacks. Auburn is getting 58% of the money and yet the line has dropped a full point off the opening 16.5.
Arkansas is just 3-10 ATS on the year but are 4-1 in their last five overall and as an underdog. This will be no easy task versus the top-ranked team in the country, however, the Tigers are just 2-3 ATS in their last five home games for -1.18 units. The dog is barking in this one and we like the Arkansas Razorbacks +15.5 over Auburn to close out tonight’s NCAA Basketball parlay.
Remember, we always play these picks on a money line parlay and straight-up because parlays are not a long-term profitable betting strategy.
