The San Antonio Spurs (15-54) host the Memphis Grizzlies (23-47) today. These are two teams that are toward the bottom of the Western Conference and NBA, respectively. However, both have players who can be difference-makers on any given night. Unfortunately for Memphis, Ja Morant won’t be back until next season. Conversely, the Spurs have a generational player who often carries the entire team on his back.
But do you see Memphis coming into San Antonio tonight and getting a win?

Key Stats
Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis will be without a lot of players. But this is something that they are used to at this point. However, they have played good teams close as of late. Although they’ve lost by a wide margin to the Warriors, they played the Kings and Thunder tough. But the efforts of Jaren Jackson Jr. alone are not enough. Jackson Jr. averages 22.5 points per game; furthermore, he is helped by GG Jackson, who’s coming off a strong 35-point performance against the Warriors. Additionally, Santi Aldama needs to have another big game if this Memphis Grizzlies team is going to beat the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio looks to defend home court tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. They are led by Victor Webanyama. Wembanyama averages 20.7 points per game as well as 10.4 rebounds per game. However, they will look to get Devin Vassell going. Vassel averages 19.3 points per game, but he will hope to get at least 25 points tonight for this San Antonio Spurs team.

Game Prediction
This game may be one of the few times that the Spurs can control a game from start to finish. This is more about the Memphis Grizzlies being without a lot of key players throughout the year and this unit not having a lot of cohesion. In terms of talent, if you were to stack up the two rosters and both were healthy, Memphis would probably have more to offer. But for tonight, I am going with the San Antonio Spurs to not only win but cover the spread.
Final Pick
San Antonio Spurs -6.5
