The Cleveland Cavaliers (46-31) taking on the Los Angeles Lakers (45-33) in LA.
These teams are slated for what should be competitive basketball. However, injuries are always a concern. Between Cleveland and Los Angeles, injuries are becoming too much a part of the overall story of their respective seasons. But on a single day, often it’s the more healthy team that can get a comfortable win.
Do you see the inclusions on the injury report having a great effect on today’s matchup?
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Injury Report
Los Angeles Lakers
Players | Injury | Status |
LeBron James | Ankle | GTD |
Anthony Davis | Knee | GTD |
Jarred Vanderbilt | Foot | Out |
Jalen Hood-Schifino | Back | OFS |
Christian Wood | Knee | Out |
This Lakers team just wants to get through the playoffs mostly healthy. James and Davis are often frequent flyers on the injury report. However, it’s expected that they will be fully able to participate at a high level. Therefore, you shouldn’t be too concerned to see them on the injury report. Everyone else who you know and expect to be available is good to go, and even if James and Davis have to sit this one out, the other should be able to step up.
Updates:
Cleveland Cavaliers

Craig Porter Jr. | Illness | GTD |
Dean Wade | Knee | Out |
Ty Jerome | Ankle | Out |
Cleveland is mostly happy that Donovan Mitchell is back and playing well. The team needs to have a longer run of games together. But overall, things look better, and they are playing closer to what their potential is. Some have them as an Eastern Conference contender. Today they’ll be tested against the Los Angeles Lakers. Certainly, they are looking more and more like the playoff team at the moment. As long as the key players stay healthy for the rest of the year, this should be a good team come the post-season.
Los Angeles Lakers Forgotten Froncourt Player
Christian Wood is someone who has missed extended time. Today he is on the injury report again against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, there is hope that he will be able to return by mid-April. It’s not always the case that a secondary center is missed. But having him back in the lineup for the Los Angeles Lakers could prove useful.
