The Los Angeles Lakers (41-33) take on the Brooklyn Nets (29-45). This is a game that shouldn’t be particularly close. However, if the two main stars on the Lakers side are unable to go or aren’t at full capacity, then it could be a close one. This will be a game that comes down to the second unit versus a mostly healthy next team in that instance.
But even if that ends up being the case, could you see Los Angeles getting the win in Brooklyn?
Los Angeles Lakers vs Brooklyn Nets Injuries
Los Angeles Lakers
Player | Injury | Status |
LeBron James | Ankle | GTD |
Gabe Vincent | Knee | GTD |
Anthony Davis | Knee | GTD |
Jarred Vanderbilt | Foot | Out |
Jalen Hood-Schifino | Back |
Out |
Christian Wood | Knee | Out |
The Los Angeles Lakers should have James and Davis but they are frequent flyers on the injury report. However, to their credit for the most part they have been available throughout the season. Therefore buying a setback they should be healthy enough to not only play against the Brooklyn Nets but also take care of business.

The Brooklyn Nets have their main players healthy and available to play the Los Angeles Lakers. Although there are some minor concerns coming in, the main guys are available and will look to make it close. But the status of Johnson is something to continue to monitor throughout the game.

Gabe Vincent: Possible Return For the Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers may get a backcourt boost from Dave Vincent. He continues to recover from left knee surgery and will at least give warm-ups a go. However, it’s not determined if he will face action or not at this point. Regardless, this is a good sign, and he looks on track to play against the Nets or shortly here in the near future. His inclusion in the lineup is not essential, especially against the Brooklyn team.
But instead, it would be a welcome addition to have him play a couple of games, get some minutes under his belt, and be a serviceable option for the postseason. This Los Angeles Lakers team depends on the greatness of Davis and James, but adding depth at the guard position can never hurt.
