Texas on offense is ranked 12th in the nation in total offense at 465.1 yards per game and averaging 38.89 points per game. They are led on offense by quarterback Quinn Ewers, who comes in with a 19-6 touchdown to interception ratio and averaging 246 yards passing per game. The Longhorns also feature a very potent passing game that is ranked 16th in the country at 301 yards per game. In the rushing game, Texas is very balanced having three players with more than 300 yards rushing, led by Quintervion Wisner’s 409.

On the defensive side of the ball, Texas ranks 51st in points allowed at giving up just over 12 points per game. In the last three games, that number is at 18.66 points per game, and in SEC play the Longhorns have outscored their opponents 160-87.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas ranks 7th in the nation in total offense with 483.4 yards per game and averaging 33 points per game. The Razorback’s passing game is led by quarterback Taylen Green who averages 245.9 yards per game and brings an 11-7 touchdown to interception ratio. Ja’Quinden Jackson leads an Arkansas rushing attack ranked 57th at 191.2 yards per game.

The Razorbacks on defense rank 170th allowing 26.33 points per game and in the last three games that number rises to 40.66 points per game, including the 63 points that Ole Miss dropped on them. In SEC play, Arkansas has been outscored 171-140 but that is a bit skewed with 40% of that coming in the loss to the Rebels.

Prediction

Arkansas can match points with Texas as both offenses are ranked in the top 12. The key to this game will be can the Razorbacks get enough stops defensively to stay within the number or even pull off the upset. We targeted this game because we spotted a reverse line movement, as early on in the books, Texas is seeing 55% of the tickets and 63% of the money. Even with this action, the opening line of 15.5 is already down to 13.5.

Arkansas already has one big-time upset under their belt having knocked off Tennessee back in week five and  6-3 ATS this season  Texas is just 2-4 ATS in their last six games and the Razorbacks are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 as an underdog. We will back the hogs and buy the full point to get the betting edge.

Final Pick: Arkansas Razorbacks +14.5 (Alternate Spread)
