Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors Injury Report| April 16, 2024

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings(46-36) take on the Golden State Warriors(46-36) and it is expected to be a close game.

Both sides are more or less good to go. Both are obviously looking to get a win today. Injuries are more a part of the story with one team than the other; however, the older, more veteran side has dealt with nagging health issues, and they can be lethal on any given night.

But is there one side or another where you are more concerned in terms of the health and status of the players?

Malik Monk Knee Out
Kevin Huerter Shoulder  OFS

This Sacramento Kings team appears to miss Huerter a little more than people may have anticipated. His numbers weren’t necessarily the best, but there has been a noticeable dip in production since his absence. The former Maryland player is not only a three-point shooter, but he has adapted his game. Subsequently, he’s now a more than capable slasher as well. The team should be fine in today’s matchup, but a long playoff run may be a little more difficult without him than fans initially thought.

Gary Payton II Calf Out

Thw Warriors are as healthy as they can be and look to get on a hot streak en route to a finals run. But all that matters is that right now this team is healthy, and they have been playing good basketball as of late. Therefore, this will be a true test, and unfortunately, the consequences are win and advance, or you pack your bags in advance for a vacation destination.

Sacramento Kings Missing Huerter

Sacramento Kings

As stated, the Sacramento Kings seem to be missing the floor-stretching ability of Huerter, at least more so than what we may have initially thought. Furthermore, it reduces depth. By not having him on the court, you are forced to play with one fewer option of someone who could potentially have a 20-point evening on any given night.

But as the Sacramento Kings take on the Golden State Warriors, it’s on the front court that they hope to take advantage of certain matchups and hopefully mitigate any possible step lost by not having the former Maryland College player.
