Led by Chris Jones, who leads the team in sacks with three, this is one of the best defenses in the NFL. If this defense can continue their production, they can make the best offenses look subpar.

The San Francisco 49ers are coming off an impressive win against their division rival Seattle Seahawks 36-24. Brock Purdy completed 18 of 28 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Despite Jordan Mason being injured against the Seahawks, their running game didn’t miss a beat. Isaac Guerendo was exceptional, rushing 99 yards on ten carries. George Kittle had his best game of the season, catching five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Deebo Samuel Sr. was great as well, adding three catches for 102 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown.
Defensively, they have not lived up to their names, but they have still been a solid group. On the season, they rank 12th in points allowed per game, 17th in passing yards per game, 7th in rushing yards allowed per game, 14th in offensive touchdowns allowed, 12th in sacks, and 6th in takeaways per game. Without Javon Hargrave, it’s going to have to be a Nick Bosa/Fred Warner game to slow down the Chiefs’ rushing attack. We saw them have success in the Super Bowl, but can they defend their home field against the Chiefs in this rematch?
Prediction
The Kansas City Chiefs are going to win this game against the San Francisco 49ers. Andy Reid is almost unbeatable off a bye, with a record of 31-7 and 3-0 against Kyle Shanahan. This is a big-time game and the Chiefs step up in big-time games. I expect Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs to go into Levi’s Stadium undefeated and leave undefeated. It may not be pretty for the Chiefs, however, they play winning football. It doesn’t matter if it is 13-10 or 31-28, this team finds ways to win and I think they will do so come Sunday.
