The Jacksonville Jaguars do plan to start QB Trevor Lawrence in the opening game of the preseason. According to head coach Doug Pederson he will only play a “series or two.” The Jaguars are looking to play all their young players to make plays and compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.
Quarterbacks Mack Jones and C.J. Beathard will be in competition to see who will backup Trevor Lawrence this season. Beathard was the QB2 last season and played in seven games last season.
