The Golden State Warriors (39-34) take on the San Antonio Spurs (18-56). This is an intriguing matchup, and whoever is available will have a fun matchup to watch on the court. However, injury concerns and known injuries deeply affect both sides. For the Warriors, two important players are considered game-time decisions. Conversely, the Spurs will be without two important pieces.
Due to injuries, do you see the Spurs being more affected by the availability of players on the roster?
Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs Injuries
Golden State Warriors
Players | Injury | Status |
Johnathan Kuminga | Knee | GTD |
Dario Saric | Knee | Out |
Klay Thompson | Knee | GTD |
The Golden State Warriors will wait to see the availability of Thompson and Kuminga. Even though the veteran is improving as the season goes on, The younger player may be more important against the San Antonio Spurs at this point. Kuminga offers help on the interior, which is desperately needed. Conversely, even without Thompson, the backcourt should be able to match up well with or without the Sharpshooter.

San Antonio Spurs
Player | Injury | Status |
Jaylen Clark | Achilles | Out |
Anthony Edwards | Finger | GTD |
Jordan McLaughlin | Shoulder | GTD |

Karl-Anthony Towns | Knee | Out |
The San Antonio Spurs team being without Johnson or Sochan is an important aspect to consider. Johnson is less so, but Sochan has proved his worth on this team. Particularly with second-unit play, not having these two player options available could be costly against the Golden State Warriors.
Updates:
Devin Vassell – (Foot) Out
Golden State Warriors Possible Opportunity
Everyone knows that the time for certain players to move on comes eventually. But with Thompson, this may be a little more of a drawn-out and painful process than what the Golden State Warriors would necessarily like. However, since going to the bench, he has strangely stepped up and made it a tough choice for this team. There are doubts about whether he can stay on this roster moving forward. But for this year, he’s proving to be a capable scorer who continues to show streaks of his shooting brilliance. Granted, it’s less often, but this great of the Golden State Warriors is trying to make the case to retire in the Bay Area.
