Key Stats
Army
Starting quarterback Bryson Daily did not do much in the passing game last week against the Mountain Hawks, it was all about the run game. Army rushed for 375 yards and scored 42 points on the Mountain Hawks. Daily scored two rushing touchdowns, one of them going for 63 yards. Running back Kayne Udoh rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns while running back Noah Short rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown. Everything was mostly on the ground for Army. They will look to continue the success of the run game against the Owls this Saturday.
Florida Atlantic University
The Owls played a good game against MSU last week but ended the final drive in a bad break. A targeting call against the Spartans was overturned and FAU ended up losing the game. Quarterback Cam Fancher completed 48% of his passes (12-25) and threw for 116 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The offensive line also struggled as Fancher was sacked seven times by the Spartans. Wide receiver Omari Hayes had six receptions for 74 yards. Wide receiver Jayshon Platt only had two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown. The Owls will look to improve on offense this week against Army.
Prediction
Despite the loss last week against Michigan State, the Owls are the slight home favorite in this matchup against the Black Knights. Even though Army has a great run game, the passing game was almost non-existent last week. The Owls played solid defense as they only gave up 16 points to the Spartans while forcing a pair of interceptions. The Owls offense needs to capitalize in the red zone when they have the opportunities to make touchdowns. It will be a close matchup between the two teams but the Owls will come away with their first win of the season at home against Army.
Final Pick
Florida Atlantic University (-175)
