Denver Nuggets vs. Atlanta Hawks Injury Report| April, 6 2024

Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets (53-24) host the Atlanta Hawks (36-41) for a Saturday evening game.

These are two teams with somewhat concerning injury reports heading in. However, of the two teams, you’d have to say Atlanta has done well adjusting on the fly. Also, a lot remains to be seen as to whether this Hawks team can be legitimate contenders or if they were just hot for their regular-season Boston series. Conversely, most believe the nuggets are coasting until the end of the regular season. But it remains to be seen if they’ll go full throttle or are comfortable with where they are in terms of seeding.

Either way, for tonight, what is the biggest injury in your mind before taking action on this contest?

The Denver Nuggets believe that they are a championship-contending team yet again this year. Notably, they need players like Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. to step up. Jamal Murray has been absent for a lot of games. He too is needed because everyone knows who the main go-to guy is. Nikola Jokic is the centerpiece of this team. But for some, he is too relied on at the moment.

The Hawks are waiting for Trae Young to get back. However, there are some who are starting to believe that they have a new nucleus that they can build around. This will be a good test tonight against the Denver Nuggets It’s not known what the future will be of this team, but things will be interesting if Young somehow makes a return and it’s able to sneak solid minutes into the rotation before the playoffs. Either way, not many are expecting them to go far, but they could be a fun Dark Horse team.

Others Needing To Step Up For Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets team knows what the expectations are. Even losing the conference finals in seven games would be seen as a disappointment. They know what’s needed in order to get the job done. Most of the players have been healthy throughout the year. However, Murray has missed more time than anyone would like at this point.

Furthermore, Gordon and Porter Jr. are two players who have seen the need to step up their contributions. Today Gordon is out, but he is someone who is vital on both ends of the court. For the Denver Nuggets to win, he can’t miss too many more games.
