The Dallas Wings(3-4) and the Las Vegas Aces(4-2) will be facing off Wednesday night. It should be a decent game for the Aces, as they’ve been taking care of the competition. However, the Wings have had a few shaky performances.
The Dallas Wings lost their last game against the Minnesota Lynx by 11. Arike Ogunbowale had a strong performance in the loss with 21 points, six assists, and six rebounds. Monique Billings also did well, giving the Wings 19 points and a fantastic 15 rebounds for a double-double. Finally, Sevgi Uzun had 12 points.
In the Aces’ last game, they lost by four to the Atlanta Dream. Their lead scorer of the match was A’ja Wilson, who gave her team 28 points and nine rebounds. Next up was Kelsey Plum, who scored 19 points and six assists. Lastly, Jackie Young had a solid 15-point showing.
Which of these teams will grab the win after a loss?

Key Stats
Dallas Wings
The Dallas Wings points per game leader is Arike Ogunbowale. The guard is averaging 26.6 points per game. She’s also leading with steals with 2.9 per game. The team leader in rebounds is Monique Billings, with 8.8 per game, and she’s also scoring 14.0 points per game to go along with it. Lastly, Sevgi Uzun is leading in assists with 5.1 per game.
The Wings will hope for a win after their loss to Minnesota. With the way Ogunbowale has been playing, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they get one tomorrow night at home. A win against the Aces, or are fourth in the league and second in their conference, could bolster this team.
Las Vegas Aces
A’ja Wilson is dominating for the Aces as she leads in points per game (26.5), rebounds per game (12.5), and blocks per game (2.8). Jackie Young, who’s averaging 20.7 points per game, is leading the team in assists per game with 7.7. Lastly, Kelsey Plum is having a good showing with 18.7 points per game and 5.7 assists per game.
Though the Aces are coming off of a loss to the Dream, I expect them to bounce back. This team’s starting five is a dominant one that can outscore teams quickly. One loss isn’t going to cause them to falter.
Prediction
It’s early in the season, and both of these teams have solid players. Really, it could be anyone’s game. However, I believe the Aces have a bit of an edge. A’ja Wilson has been going on a tear with 20+ points every single game. If the Wings want to win, they’d have to find a way to shut her down, which is going to be difficult. I believe Las Vegas is going to take this one, although it might be a close game.
Final Pick
Las Vegas Aces MoneyLine -298
