The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Baltimore Ravens in this AFC vs NFC showdown. Last week, the Ravens blew a 10-point lead, to the Las Vegas Raiders at home. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are coming off an embarrassing defeat at home, their first loss at home in the last 16 regular season home games, to the New Orleans Saints. The Ravens are still searching for their first win of the season. They can’t afford to start the year 0-3 due to their division. This game should be game of the week and I am excited to dive straight into this game. So let’s jump on in!

Key Stats
Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a disappointing performance against the Las Vegas Raiders. They blew a 10-point lead in the second half to start 0-2 for the first time since 2015. Lamar Jackson was bad in the fourth quarter against the Raiders, with 3/7 passing for 29 yards and two carries for 25 yards. He will look to bounce back against an NFC team, a conference he has dominated. As a starter, Jackson has a record of 20-1 against the NFC in his career. Derrick Henry had a good game against the Raiders, 18 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, the Ravens have struggled against the pass. They are dead last in the NFL in terms of passing yards allowed per game. Against the run, they are the best allowing just under 50 yards rushing per game. It’s been noticeable because they lost their defensive coordinator this past offseason. If the Ravens are going to turn their season around, it is going to have to start on the defensive end. Baltimore is allowing 26.5 points per game. That is not good enough to contend for a division title and compete for a Super Bowl.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys want to forget what happened last week. They got smacked by the Saints 44-19. This marks their first loss at home in the regular season since 2022. Dak Prescott is going to have to be better in this game for the Cowboys to have any chance of winning. This team does not have a running game so the bus starts and stops with Dak. CeeDee Lamb is coming off a solid game, catching four passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. This is a prime spot for Dallas to win this game and regain some confidence after getting embarrassed last week.
As for their defense, they have not lived up to their hype under the new DC, Mike Zimmer. They rank 20th in opponent points per game allowed and offensive touchdowns allowed. However, they are 3rd in the NFL in sacks so that is a positive. There has only been one NFC team to beat Lamar Jackson since he has been a starter. The Dallas Cowboys must have a better performance than what they showed last game.
Prediction
The Baltimore Ravens are going to beat the Dallas Cowboys in this game. NFC teams have struggled against Lamar Jackson in the past and I expect that to continue. I also expect Derrick Henry to have a big game. We saw the Ravens utilize him in the first drive of the game against the Chiefs and they were trailing the rest of the game. Against the Raiders, they leaned on him more, and look what happened, they were in a prime position to win. The Dallas Cowboys allow 141.5 rushing yards per game and Derrick Henry will have his first 100-yard rushing game of the season.
Final Pick
Baltimore Ravens ML (-108)
