Key Stats
Colorado State Rams
Colorado State is led in scoring by Isaiah Stevens. Stevens is averaging 16.5 points per game as well as 7.0 assists per game. Nique Clifford averages 7.5 rebounds per game. However, they need a second score to step up. Therefore, Joel Scott, who is coming off a 20-point game against the New Mexico Lobos, is a good person to get this Colorado State Rams offense going against the Virginia Cavaliers.
Virginia Cavaliers
Virginia is a team that comes into the tournament with expectations every year. However, this year, their offense is nowhere near good enough to hope for a potential run. Their defense leads the way. They are led in scoring by Reece Beekman. Beekman averages 14.3 points per game. Additionally, Ryan Dunn averages 7.0 rebounds per game.

Game Prediction
Although the Virginia Cavaliers are seen as a good team this year, they aren’t. This Colorado State team is overall better and far more dynamic on offense. And although the Cavaliers have a respectable defense, they look to win games by a score of 52 to 50. Therefore, I am picking the Rams to not only win but also cover. Furthermore, this point total is the complete stay away for me. Either team could score over 60 points. But it’s just as likely that this game remains in the 50s. However, I ultimately see the Colorado State Rams getting enough of an offensive flow at critical times throughout the game to get the win.
Final Pick
Colorado State Rams -2
