The New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls play for their third meeting this week. Although the Knicks have gotten OG Anunoby back in the lineup, his offensive numbers haven’t exactly shown he is completely healthy yet.
New York Knicks: OG Anunoby is still on the Mend
Since Anunoby has been back in the starting lineup for the past two games he’s averaging a paltry six PPG shooting 7-18. Going further back, Anunoby has stayed under his Points + Rebounds + Assists (P+R+A) prop in three of his last five games played, and his last three games straight. He has also stayed under his rebound prop the past two games he’s started since being back from injury for the New York Knicks.
During this two-game stretch, Anunoby is also averaging two rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. It seems as though he is in as a defensive disruptor, which the New York Knicks seem fine with.
New York Knicks Reinforcement: Not Fully Healthy Yet
Based on his recent New York Knicks performance, the fact is, Anunoby doesn’t seem as though he is all that healthy yet. My projections have Anunoby at around 17 P+R+A which is almost a 20% edge to the under on his P+R+A prop which is currently at 21.5 Over Anunobys past 5 games played he has only surpassed his point total twice. One of these times came against an undermanned 76ers, where his total was only 12.5. The other came against the Bulls on April 5, where his line was 11.5.
This provides tremendous value on Anunoby’s under-prop, which also includes his points, rebounds, and assists props individually. I’d expect more of the same from Anunoby today against the Bulls. Especially considering that Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo’s point props are 29.5 and 18.5, respectively. All signs point to big offensive outputs from those two players and another pedestrian New York Knicks performance from Anunoby.
