Chicago Bulls vs Minnesota Timberwolves Injury Report| March 31 2024

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Chicago Bulls (35–39) travel to the Minnesota Timberwolves (51-22). The Bulls are a team that has consistently dealt with injuries and is hopeful that their best player can at least make a return for next season. On the other hand, the Timberwolves are also waiting for their best player to get healthy, but that’s not likely until closer to the end of April.

Therefore, between who’s available, which other injury is most important to monitor for this game?

Players Injury Status
Julian Phillips Foot Out
Ayo Dosunmu Illness GTD
Alex Caruso  Ankle  GTD
Patrick Williams Foot OFS
Zach LaVine Foot OFS
Lonzo Ball Knee OFS

The Chicago Bulls are hoping to get Caruso and Dosunmo to full capacity. While individually, their play may or may not affect things much, it does affect this aspect. DeMar DeRozan can’t always be counted on to do it all and realistically needs help if they are going to go on a playoff push. Therefore, having any and all available pieces on the court and getting minutes together is essential. This is an opportunity, especially against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that isn’t at full health themselves.

Player Injury Status
Jaylen Clark Achilles Out
Anthony Edwards Finger   GTD
Jordan McLaughlin Shoulder GTD
Rudy Gobert Ribs GTD
Karl-Anthony Towns Knee Out

The Minnesota Timberwolves are continuing to hold on until Towns is able to return. But the injuries and updates of Edwards and Gobert are equally important to monitor. But all things being equal, this roster is still better than what the Chicago Bulls have to offer. DeRozan may be one of the better players on the court today, but outside of him, you would pick many players over everyone else on the Timberwolves side over the Bulls side.

Rudy Gobert – (Ribs) Available To Play

Anthony Edwards – (Finger) Available To Play

Chicago Bulls Need A Healthy Season

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls biggest concern is the health of Lonzo Ball. There is footage, and rumors are circulating that he could see the court again next year. But until it happens and until he’s able to stay healthy for more of a regular season than not, it seems wise for the organization to consider moving on. There’s no question that he is a top-tier talent. But the hopes of building around him seem futile for the Chicago Bulls at this point.
