The Charlotte Hornets (15-42) travel to the Milwaukee Bucks (37-21) for a Tuesday night matchup. Although the game is expected to be not particularly close, an odd game can happen in the NBA. However, the hosts are favored for a reason. They have the stars and are overall better. But this shouldn’t discredit the visiting side.
While the away team is not as good, they have been better as of late. It’s important to consider that the Wisconsin-based team won by large margins in the first two games. Additionally, they’ll play once more after tonight.
But do you see a potential upset win happening tonight?

Charlotte is improved. Although they made trade deadline acquisitions, their chemistry together has been seemingly instantaneous. Additionally, LaMelo Ball remains out and is likely going to need time on the court to condition himself once he can return from injury. But outside of him, this is a stronger team than what their record indicates.
Moreover, Grant Williams has scored in double-figures in five out of his last six games. Therefore, he should be a force tonight and is exactly what this Charlotte Hornets team needed. But Miles Bridges remains the best overall player on this team. Bridges averages 21.5 points per night and is likely going to find opportunities against what has been a poor Bucks defense. Finally, Brandon Miller continues to make a name for himself. Look for him to be on All-Star alert over the next few years to come.

Milwaukee has changed their coaches but it remains to be seen if the move pays off. Even with Doc Rivers in charge, the team looks far from a true championship contender. Moreover, their main concern on defense appears far from solved. But there is time, or in this case hope, that all of the pieces will figure it out before the playoffs. Tonight is a good test against the Charlotte Hornets.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo maintains his status as one of the best players in the league. But he either needs to find another way to elevate his play or that of those around him. As the best player the glory or blame will ultimately fall on his shoulders. Regardless of how the rest of the team plays, or who he claims the team runs through, Anteotokounmpo has his legacy on the line.
Game Prediction
I see this game playing out to be a tightly contested matchup. These are two teams trending in the opposite directions. While the Milwaukee Bucks have a better record, the Charlotte Hornets are playing better of the two sides. Therefore, I like the North Carolina-based to cover the spread at the very least. Although a win is not entirely out of the question.
Furthermore, the point total is too low. While the individual defensive pieces may be strong, collectively, I see both defenses having a hard time stopping the other tonight. Especially if it becomes a one-man show with the Greek Freak, the other Bucks will have limited chances against the Charlotte Hornets.
Final Pick
Charlotte Hornets +14 and Under 220
