Key Stats
Boston Celtics
Boston is being led in scoring by Jayson Tatum, who is averaging 23.2 points per game. He’s also leading in rebounds with 10.0 per game and assists with 6.0 per game. Jaylen Brown is providing his team with 22.3 points per game. Lastly, Jrue Holiday is leading the team in steals with 1.5 per game.
The home team is still struggling a bit in the fourth quarter. However, they’ve managed to stay solid on defense, which has helped them get the two wins in a row. Unfortunately, Kristaps Porzingis suffered an injury last game, but it isn’t major. The Cs will need to rely on Al Horford and Luke Kornet in Porzingis’s absence.
Miami Heat
The Heat are being led in scoring by Bam Adebayo. He’s averaging 22.5 points per game. He’s also leading in rebounds with 10.5 per game. Also, Tyler Herro is averaging 17.3 points per game. Additionally, he is leading in assists with 6.0 per game. Lastly, Nikola Jovic is leading in steals with 1.2 per game and blocks with .8 per game.
Miami has had two games now where they’ve gone down by 20+ points and have been unable to string together a comeback. Tyler Herro has been having a bit of difficulty late in the game. Also, not having Jimmy Butler has heavily affected the team. However, Caleb Martin seemed to wake up late last game and went on a scoring spree.
Injury Report
Boston Celtics
- Kristaps Porzingis – Out
Miami Heat
- Jimmy Butler – Out
- Terry Rozier – Out
- Jaime Jaquez Jr. – Out
- Josh Richardson – OFS
Game Prediction
With the addition of Jaquez Jr. to the injury report, there is going to be a big dent in the Heat’s scoring. They will need their bench to pull through and do some damage. Boston will be without their Unicorn, but with Derrick White coming off an incredible game, this might not be a problem.
Miami could come back and win, as they are a tricky team that is very capable of turning the tables on teams. However, I believe Boston will secure the final win at home and cover the spread.
Final Pick
Boston Celtics -14 (-110)
