Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are coming off a dominating win against the Kansas City Chiefs, 38-0. Even though KC was resting their starters, it was still an impressive performance. Bo Nix had the best game of his career thus far. Nix completed 26 of 29 passes for 321 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Bo also added 47 rushing yards as well. Courtland Sutton had a great game despite only playing in the first half. He finished the game with 5 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. His receiving partner Marvin Mims Jr. was good as well with 5 catches for 51 yards and 2 touchdowns. This offense is on fire entering the playoffs.

With that being said, this defense has been one of the best defenses in the NFL. For the season, they are ranked 3rd in points allowed per game, 19th in passing yards allowed per game, 3rd in rushing yards allowed per game, 2nd in offensive touchdowns allowed, 1st in sacks, and 7th in takeaways per game.

In terms of injuries, they are one of the healthier teams in the NFL. The only player who is questionable in this game is their 4th string running back Tyler Badie. This has been one of the surprise teams this season and they have a great chance to pull off one of the biggest upsets in the NFL.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are coming off a loss to the New England Patriots, 23-16. The game was “meaningless” because Buffalo rested their starters due to a win or loss not moving them up or down in the standings. For the season, the Bills’ offense has been one of the best in the NFL.

They are ranked 2nd in points per game, 9th in passing yards per game, 9th in rushing yards per game, 2nd in offensive touchdowns scored, 6th in yards per play, and 32nd in turnovers per game. Josh Allen has been performing at an MVP level all season long. Is this the year he and Sean McDermott get over the hump?

Defensively, they have been above average all season long. For the season, they are ranked 11th in points allowed per game, 24th in passing yards allowed per game, 12th in rushing yards allowed per game, 19th in offensive touchdowns allowed, 18th in sacks, and 3rd in takeaways per game.

Regarding injuries, Terrel Bernard, Brandon Codrington, and Amari Cooper are listed as questionable. Now Cooper is listed under personal so it’s not an injury that has him as questionable. Going against a rookie quarterback, there will be plenty of opportunities to force turnovers like this defense has all season.

Prediction

The Buffalo Bills are going to cruise to a double-digit win in this game against the Denver Broncos and cover the 8.5-point spread in this game. Josh Allen has been the MVP all season and I expect him to continue to be the outstanding playoff performer he has been throughout his career. Yes, the Broncos have a great defense.

However, I believe Allen can dominate the game with his legs and Khalil Shakir can dominate the middle of the field. Sean McDermott is an excellent defensive coach and will throw the kitchen sink at Bo Nix that could rattle him. The game will be close then the Buffalo Bills will pull away.

Final Pick

Buffalo Bills -8.5 (-115)
