Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors Injury Report| April 10, 2024

Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets (31-48) take on the Toronto Raptors (25-54) in what should be a good game Wednesday night.

Both of these teams are dealing with a handful of injuries. Also, it is clear that these injuries have affected both teams’ seasons. The Nets and the Raptors will both have to rely on their benches to win this game.

Which of these injury-riddled teams will get themselves a win?

Brooklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors Injury Report

Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn Nets

Players Injury Status
Dennis Smith Jr. Hip Out
Dorian Finney-Smith Knee Out
Jacob Gilyard Hip GTD
Jaylen Martin Ankle  Out
Cameron Johnson Toe GTD
Nicolas Claxton Ankle  GTD
Keita Bates-Diop Lower Leg OFS
Ben Simmons Back OFS
Dariq Whitehead Lower Leg OFS

The Brooklyn Nets hope that Cameron Johnson can get a good run of play as well as Nicholas Claxton. This is a team that’s not destined for post-season greatness anytime soon. However, time spent together and being able to evaluate which pieces work together and which ones don’t is essential.

The Nets believe that they have some foundational pieces that they can use to build around the cornerstone player. However, until everyone is able to play multiple games and stay healthy together at the same time, it’s difficult to evaluate.

Toronto Raptors

Players Injury Status
Immanuel Quickley Rest GTD
Gradey Dick Groin GTD
D.J. Carton Ankle Out
Jontay Porter Personal Out
Scottie Barnes Hand  Out
Jakob Poeltl Finger Out
Chris Boucher Knee Out

The Toronto Raptors are in a similar boat as the Brooklyn Nets. However, they don’t nearly have the upside at the moment. At the moment, it looks like keeping Quickley and Dick healthy and able to produce for this Raptors backcourt is essential. Poeltl is someone they miss down low, and he is a proven veteran piece who can help his team win healthy on any given night.

Huge Question Mark For The Brooklyn Nets

San Antonio Spurs Brooklyn Nets

Everyone knows about Simmons at this point. If he’s available and healthy, he’s one of the top talents in the league. However, those words are said too often, and he’s often gone for large parts of any given season.

Even when he is able to play too many times, he’s on a minute’s restriction or looks restricted in his movements. Therefore, it’s more likely than not that the Brooklyn Nets will need to move on and look elsewhere if they hope to get back to at least comfortably making the playoffs.
