Brooklyn Nets vs Atlanta Hawks Preview, Predictions and Odds| March 2 2024

Brooklyn Nets

Atlanta Hawks (26-33) take on the Brooklyn Nets (23-26) on the road. These two sides just faced each other in Brooklyn about three days ago. The Host then defeated the visitors by 27 points. However, this is an important game for both sides.

As the 10 seed is up for grabs in the east this provides the home team with a chance to further close the gap. Although the season is about to end, winning tonight would be huge for both sides. As mentioned the visitors are ahead in the standings and have a three-game gap. Therefore, a win tonight would make that lead insurmountable or give a fighting chance for that final 10th spot.

Do you see the Nets repeating their latest performance again tonight?

Key Stats

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta continues life without Trae Young and they hope to squeak out a couple more wins to hold on to a plane tournament spot. Dejounte Murray leads this team on the floor and in many categories. Murray scored 28 points in their most recent game against the Brooklyn Nets. However, bench production from DeAndre Hunter gave the Atlanta Hawks a 12-point boost off the bench. Additionally, Kobe Bufkin provided a dozen on 205 shooting. If they can shoot over 28.6% today from three-point range, then they should easily be able to keep this game much closer than the last game.

Brooklyn Nets

As mentioned Brooklyn wants to secure a final Play-In Tournament spot however through the turmoil and coaching change this remains a tough task for this team. However, they just defeated this Atlanta Hawks team and the game is once again in their building tonight. Although Mikal Bridges is considered their best player and who this team wants to build around, he’s received help as of late. Especially from Dennis Schroder who was recently acquired, he contributed 23 points in the game against the Hawks. Also, Cam Johnson went seven of eleven from three-point range and had a game-high 29 Points. If those three are able to get it going on offense then this should be a repeat performance of what we saw the other day against the Atlanta Hawks.

Game Prediction

This game should be closer than the last time. Although questions remain about how both teams are going to be able to end this season, the fact that it’s basically a pick ’em despite the Nets recently dominating at home says a lot about these teams. But I still like the Brooklyn Nets to defeat the Atlanta Hawks again. Especially on offense, they have more going for them overall and the consistent lack of defense from the visitors concerns me. Therefore I am going with the over as well, as I see Brooklyn scoring a lot of points and the Hawks likely doing enough to make it so that the point total isn’t a question.
