The Boston Celtics (58-60) take on the Charlotte Hornets (18-56). The Celtics have a longer injury report than the Hornets. However, we have seen their players fight through entries. Furthermore, even if they are short a couple of their players, this is a deep roster. Moreover, if you match them up player to player, even without some of the main contributors on the Boston side, today’s visitors still have the overall better lineup.
But is there pressing injury news that you need to consider before taking action on this game?
Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets Injury Report
Boston Celtics
Players | Injury | Status |
Kristaps Porzingis | Hamstring | GTD |
JD Davison | Ankle | Out |
Jaden Springer | Knee | GTD |
Jaylen Brown | Hand | GTD |
Overall, acquiring Porzingis is working out for the Boston Celtics. Entering the year, everyone knew that injuries would be a concern. But for the most part, he’s been healthy and a great addition. Furthermore, it would not be surprising to watch the Celtics exercise a little caution against the Charlotte Hornets when you consider the current standings in the Eastern Conference.
Updates:
Charlotte Hornets
Player | Injury | Status |
Vasilije Micic | Shoulder | GTD |
Nick Richards | Foot | GTD |
Aleksej Pokusevski | Illness | GTD |
Seth Curry | Ankle | Out |
LaMelo Ball | Ankle | Out |
Cody Martin | Ankle | Out |
Mark Williams | Back | Out |
At least the Charlotte Hornets are healthy toward the top of the rotation. Although Nick Richards is a game-time decision, their top two players look good to go and will hope to make it a game against the Boston Celtics. Considering it’s a back-to-back, Richards may end up sitting this one out.
Updates:
Injuries Not a Concern for the Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics see little value in rushing things for a regular-season game. Furthermore, they’re likely to win this game even if everyone who’s questionable is unable to go. Therefore, as stated earlier, some of the names that you see may or may not go due to where we are in the season. The Celtics are looking to go on a potential playoff run.
Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets know that there is little to play for outside of pride at this point. Either way, regardless of who ends up playing or not, the Boston Celtics are favored to win for a reason.
