Brooklyn would have pulled off quite a feat with a win tonight. Also, Cam Johnson is out again with adductor tightness. But even with him, you wouldn’t like the changes to pull off an upset. However, Mikal Bridges remains the best option to have a large scoring night. But even for him, it likely will not be enough.
Additionally, the Nets have team issues. One hand they don’t score enough points to compete against good times. But they also can’t seem to be able to figure it out defensively yet. Especially without Johnson, the depth will be tested against the Boston Celtics. Possibly Nic Claxton has a big night, but even that may not prove to be enough.
Game Prediction
Realistically, it’s hard to see the home team defeating the stronger away roster. Although this traveling team lays eggs throughout the season, there is a caveat. But they usually perform well against weaker competition. Also, unfortunately for Brooklyn, the home team tonight does not qualify as elite. Additionally, Boston has too many good scoring options and candidates to potentially erupt for 35+ points tonight.
Moreover, with or without Porzingis, I still like the Boston Celtics tonight. Although any game can be a potential disaster, not tonight. Furthermore, I expect the Celtics to limit Brooklyn offensively, keeping the total score too low for the over.
