Atlanta Braves

The MLB season is just around the corner and we’re talking about the Atlanta Braves. With one of the highest season win totals at 93.5, it should be a great bounceback season for Atlanta as they were riddled by injury last season. With the Mets winning the NL East, breaking the Braves’ six-season streak, Atlanta is looking to reclaim the crown. They are hopeful with the return of their former MVP and their ace pitcher! With baseball season upon us, it’s a great time to dive into some season-long bets. This should be one of the best teams in baseball as long as they can stay healthy. Let’s dive into this team and cook up a season-long winning slip!

Atlanta Braves Win Total OVER 93.5 wins (-120)

Outlook Based Off Last Season :

The Atlanta Braves are looking to bounce back from a subpar season riddled by injuries. After winning six straight NL East division titles, they finished last season with a record of 89-73. It was still a great season, but with the talent the Braves possess, it was a letdown as they were eliminated in the wildcard round by the San Diego Padres, 2-0. They were without their Cy Young pitcher Chris Sale in the postseason. The Braves were also without former MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. and their ace Spencer Strider. If the Braves can get their two stars back to 100%, they will cause some noise this regular season and have a chance to be the last team standing.

To deeper dive into how important the injuries of Acuna and Strider were to the Atlanta Braves. The last time we saw those two players healthy, Acuna won the National League MVP and Strider was leading the MLB with 281 strikeouts, 13.5 K’s per 9. When any team loses the reigning MVP and someone who can go and get you almost 300 strikeouts, those two can’t be replaced in a single season. When you have someone as gifted and talented as Acuna is, he needs to be the star of your franchise. Up to this point in his career, he has suffered two season-ending injuries. When healthy he is one of the best players in the MLB.

Offseason Moves :

In terms of the Atlanta Braves’ offseason moves, there was a key pickup this past offseason. They signed the San Diego Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar to a three-year contract. However great the addition is, they lost a great bit of talent. Max Fried, AJ Minter, Charlie Morton, and Adam Duvall. Despite the ages of Morton and Duvall, it’s very difficult to replace the pitching that Fried and Minter possess. If the Braves young pitchers of Spencer Schwellenbach and Reynaldo Lopez step up with Fried leaving, they might be the key to a big season and eventual postseason run. We are only three years away from this team winning the World Series. in 2022.

Conclusion :

With most of their additions being players returning from injury, it’ll be a breath of fresh air for clubhouse morale. We saw this organization win six straight NL East titles from 2018-2023. The last time we saw this team healthy, they won 104 games, Ronald Acuna Jr. stole 73 bases and won the NL MVP, and Spencer Strider led the MLB in Wins, K’s, and K’s per 9. Despite all the key injuries, this team still won 89 games, only 5 under their season over/under. The Atlanta Braves’ biggest opponent, outside of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is injuries. This team will rival the Dodgers for the top team in the National League and cruise over 93.5 wins.
