Ultimately this is a well-rounded team and is controlling games. While De Jong receives a lot of the highlights, the supporting cast is playing at the top level. The most impressive stat is not how many goals they scored, but the three of the top six assist leaders play for PSV. Even if Ajax slows De Jong down for spurts, it’s only a matter of time before this squad breaks through the backline!
Game Prediction
Ajax Amsterdam is not as bad as their last three-goal defeat. And even if PSV are favorites, they are both closer to playing on equal footing. However, this game will be open, and there will be plenty of chances to be had. Learning from their prior mistakes and playing in better form, I like Ajax to win outright in front of their home fans. But ultimately, I believe this will be through a high-scoring affair from both sides. This is why I view the over being set at 3.5 as far too low. Also, taking Ajax Amersterdam money line gives you a better return for your money, as I don’t see this ending in a tie.
