The Charlotte Hornets are undermanned. We know it, and they also know it. Yet despite facing an uphill battle nearly every night, this is a potential sneaky game for them. Additionally, if the Lakers star duo does play, there is an added element to consider. Furthermore, Miller is in contention for the Rookie of the Year. Although most consider it a distant two-way race between Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holgram, a good performance against the king and AD could propel him further into the discussion.

Regardless if James and Davis are playing or not, the Hornets are not a good team. Also, their defense gives up too many points to everyone to even consider picking them to pull off the unlikely upset. However, the spread remains a different question. But even if Bridges and Miller have big scoring nights, two facts remain. Firstly, it’ll be hard to see where else scoring will come from, also Russell or Reaves are likely to be able to match any production, and then some!
