The Buffalo Bills are heading to Detroit to take on the Lions in what should be the Game of the Week. The Bills are coming off a tough loss last week against the Los Angeles Rams, 44-42. Conversely, the Lions are coming off a big-time divisional win against the Green Bay Packers 34-31. This game means so much for both conferences when it comes to seeding.
The Bills must win to keep up with the Chiefs in the AFC standings and the Lions need to win this game to stay ahead of the Eagles. Will Buffalo bounce back from their loss last week or will the Lions defend their home field and win their 12th in a row?

Key Stats
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are coming off a heartbreaking loss last week against the Los Angeles Rams, 44-42. Josh Allen had a historic performance in the loss. Allen completed 22 of 37 passes for 343 yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 10 carries for 82 yards, and 3 rushing touchdowns. That might be the best performance anyone will have for the next three seasons. Khalil Shakir feasted as well with 5 catches for 106 receiving yards, including a 51-yard touchdown. Amari Cooper played his best game yet as a Bill with 6 catches for 95 yards. This offense has been humming all year long.
Buffalo’s defense has been above average all season long. They are ranked 8th in points allowed per game, 9th in passing yards allowed per game, 19th in rushing yards allowed per game, 11th in offensive touchdowns allowed, 21st in sacks, and 3rd in takeaways per game. Defensive backs Taylor Rapp and Rasul Douglas are questionable heading into this week. As of Wednesday, both players haven’t practiced. If they miss this game, it could be a challenge considering they are going up against an offense that has been one of, if not, the best offense in the NFL.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are coming off their 11th straight win last week against the Green Bay Packers 34-31. Jared Goff was great in their win. He completed 32 of 41 passes for 283 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception. Tim Patrick was the star of the game by catching 6 passes for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sonic and Knuckles, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, were their usual selves. They combined for 157 yards from scrimmage, 94 rushing, 63 receiving, and 2 touchdowns. When those two are dominating like that, this offense is the best in the NFL.
Despite their defense being riddled with injuries, they have done enough to win 11 in a row. For the season, they are ranked 2nd in points allowed per game, 23rd in passing yards allowed per game, 5th in rushing yards allowed per game, 3rd in offensive touchdowns allowed, 19th in sacks, and 6th in takeaways per game.
Detroit has many starters that are questionable for this game and they are going to have their hands full in this game. They are going against an angry Bills team that is coming off one of their best offensive games of the season. Slowing Josh Allen down might be a task too tall for this defense.
Prediction
The Buffalo Bills are going to pull off the upset this week and snap the Detroit Lions’ 11-game winning streak. Josh Allen has been arguably the MVP this season and is coming off his best game of the season. The Bills are the healthier team and at this point in the season, I know they just allowed 44 points, but they have the better defense. At some point, the injuries are too much to overcome. We have seen Jared Goff have a five-interception game this season and throw a bad interception last week. The Bills force 2 turnovers and Allen delivers another MVP performance as Buffalo pulls off the upset.
