Dallas Goedert had a career day catching 10 passes for 170 yards, including a 61-yard catch that would set up the game-winning touchdown. Saquon Barkley has been everything the Eagles thought he would be and more, against the Saints, he tallied 147 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
The Eagles’ defense has been in the middle of the pack this season. Their biggest issue is their lack of a pass rush. Philly ranks 28th in the NFL with only four sacks through the first three games. Against the run, they are a bottom-eight defense allowing 134.7 rushing yards per game. Philly has the talent to limit the damage on the ground with their front seven. With James Bradberry IV still out with a lower leg injury, the Philadelphia Eagles secondary will have their hands full against Tampa Bay’s talented wide receiver room.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers want to shake off last week’s performance. They lost against the Denver Broncos 26-7. Baker Mayfield must tap into the quarterback he was to end the year last season and through the first two games. Baker is 3rd in passing touchdowns (6), 10th in completion percentage (74.4%), and is the 3rd most sacked quarterback per game (4.33).
Chris Godwin has been great to start the season, scoring and receiving touchdowns in every game to start the season. Mike Evans will look to bounce back after having a rough game only catching two passes for 17 yards.
As for their defense, Tampa Bay has been solid despite their secondary being riddled with injuries. From a points-allowed perspective, they rank 15th in the NFL only allowing 20.7 points per game. They are dead last in the NFL with only two sacks through the first three games. If the Buccaneers want to continue to contend in the NFC South, Tampa is going to need to get healthier ASAP. With their best defenders, Vita Vea and Antoine Winfield Jr. being questionable for this game against the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s going to be an uphill battle against the 3rd best-rushing offense in the NFL.
Prediction
Despite the injuries to the Buccaneers’ secondary, I am picking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in this game. Both these teams have key players questionable in this game and I think the Eagles’ losses will be too much for them to overcome against an offense that torched them last year in the playoffs. The Philadephia Eagles could be without their top two receivers in this game as DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown are questionable for this game. On top of that, their right tackle Lane Johnson is also questionable. Tampa Bay wins behind a Baker Mayfield bounce-back performance.
