Marcus Freeman was aggressive in the transfer portal in revamping Notre Dame’s offense. Quarterback Riley Leonard will start for the Irish this season. He transferred from Duke and played under former Coach Miko Elko. Leonard only played seven games last season due to injury but he still put up decent numbers. He threw for 2.794 yards with 20 touchdowns, as well as 636 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.

Texas A&M

Texas A&M Aggies hired Miko Elko to lead the program with his unique style of coaching. The defense will lean heavily on pass-rusher Nic Scourton. Texas A&M has one of the best defensive lines in all of college football. Scourton led the Big 10 with 10 sacks a year ago.

Prediction

Despite the ranking difference between these two teams, Texas A&M has the slight advantage in this matchup. With Texas A&M having one of the best defensive lines in college football and the best pass rusher for the Aggies since Myles Garrett; this can cause problems for Notre Dame’s offense. But can Texas A&M do well on offense? Seems like the Aggies may be able to do just enough to slide by the Fighting Irish and pick a win. It will be the first win for coach Miko Elko if he can pull an upset on the seventh-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Final Pick

Texas A&M (-3),-108
