Italian Tennis star Lorenzo Musetti is set to battle USA’s Taylor Fritz in the third round of the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics men’s singles event.
Fritz progressed to the third round after beating Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik and Team Great Britain’s Jack Draper in the first two rounds. The American toppled Bublik in two straight sets but struggled to overcome Draper who had won the first set. But, Fritz’s strength and serve power were instrumental in winning the opener.
On the other hand, Musetti beat a popular Gael Monfils in two straight sets, recording 13 winners and three aces. This win came after a surprising loss to Cerundolo in the Croatia Open. He also beat Argentina’s Mariano Navone in the second round, but the first set went to a tiebreak.
