The Phoenix Suns (44-31) take on the Cleveland Cavaliers (46-30) tonight. This is my favorite game on the slate today in terms of betting. Both teams have a lot to play for. Both teams will be playing all of their starters. The Suns sit at the eight-seed in the west and need this win to climb their way into the top six to avoid the play-in-game. Over in the East, the Cavs could easily move from their current spot in third.
They are now only 1.5 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks and 1.5 games ahead of the Orlando Magic. Since all the starters should play big minutes, this is the perfect game to bet on. There are plenty of player Props that stand out.
Donovan Mitchell (CLE) 25+ Points (+125)
This is a great spot to buy low on one of the best players in the league. Donovan Mitchell has been dealing with some injuries lately and has only played four games in the last month. In those games, he scored 13, 12, 13, and 14 points, never taking more than 16 shots. After the Cavs’ 29-point loss to the Nuggets, Mitchell expressed frustration saying that the Cavs need to “figure it out”.

After resting last night when Cleveland played the Utah Jazz, this is Mitchell’s first game since that statement, and beating the Phoenix Suns would be a great way to prove that they have things figured out. I fully expect 20+ shot attempts from Mitchell tonight. In games with 20+ field goal attempts (FGA), he has 25+ points in 24/30 games. Phoenix is also a good matchup for Mitchell. They allow the third highest pull-up 3pt% and the seventh-highest pull-up 3pt attempts. That right there is Mitchell’s bread and butter.
Devin Booker (PHO) Under 27.5 Points (-125)
Devin Booker just put up 52 points against the New Orleans Pelicans. It was an incredible performance. However, I am fading him tonight against the Cavaliers. Booker played 39 minutes two nights ago, and now he has one of the toughest matchups in the league.
The Cavs have one of the best defenses in the league, and Isaac Okoro will most likely be back for this game, who is a very good on-ball defender. Booker already went under this line once vs the Cavs this year.
Another reason I like this prop is I believe the volume will decrease for Booker in this game. The Suns are at home tonight, but where Devin Booker really thrives is on the road. He averages 20.9 FGA on the road but only 17.8 at home. Additionally, Bradley Beal only took 8 shots last night. That won’t happen again. This Suns team is an offense by committee. I expect Kevin Durant or Bradley Beal to take more shots tonight and Booker to take a lesser role. Booker has fallen short of this line in 24/30 games with less than 20 FGA.
