The Birmingham Stallions kick off the inaugural UFL season against the Arlington Renegades on Saturday. When the XFL and USFL decided to merge, it brought about this new league with a lot of promise. For fans who are missing football, the UFL is here for you.
Can the Birmingham Stallions dominate the UFL like they did the USFL, or will the Arlington Renegades spoil their quest for a third straight title?

Key Stats & Players
Birmingham Stallions
The Birmingham Stallions have dominated the USFL over the past two seasons. They are a combined 21-3 and have won two straight championships. Former All-SEC quarterback Matt Corral will be under center, and former Green Bay Packers receiver Amari Rodgers is a new addition to the roster. Both are slated to play a large role in 2024.
Last season, the Stallions started out hot on defense, only allowing 12 points in the first two weeks. They bring back a lot of the same starters and are looking to start hot again in 2024.
Arlington Renegades
The Renegades snuck into the playoffs last year and then got hot. They upset the Houston Roughnecks and DC Defenders on their way to the XFL title. The biggest addition this offseason was former NFL Pro Bowler Vic Beasley. He played for Seattle last year but came over in the dispersal draft.
This team is replacing four out of five starters on the offensive line, which brings some questions early in the season.
Game Prediction
The number of new starters on the offensive line for the Arlington Renegades worries me. Defense was the strength of the Birmingham Stallions last year, and I expect that to continue. While the postseason run was magical, the Renegades were 4-6 in the regular season for a reason.
With it being the first game and there being so many new pieces on offense, give me the under but the Stallions to win it and cover the spread.
Final Pick
Birmingham Stallions -4, Under 41.5
