Free Agency is what keeps us entertained every time the NFL season is over. All the different teams look to get better and advance their projects. Getting closer to the Super Bowl is always the goal, but how you do it, how fast you do it, and the way you do it can vary. Every year, a team just goes and moves aggressively in their hopes of escalating quickly on their ranks. Whether it’s cap space, the picks you have on the NFL Draft, or just a win-now project, it happens. With that said, I present you the sleeper team to bet on the NFC, the Chicago Bears!
Wait What, the Chicago Bears?!
I know! It sounds absolutely crazy. The NFL has mocked Chicago for years. I’m not saying they will win the NFC, but there are a lot of betting opportunities with a team like the Chicago Bears for this upcoming season. See, in 2024, the Bears have done lots of movements to improve.
That includes shipping out Justin Fields. Why? Because Caleb Williams is on the Draft, and they have the no.1 overall pick. It’s clear as day that the Bears wet the bed with Fields, but they are making sure that doesn’t happen with Williams.
What Have They Done?
Ryan Poles, the Bears GM, was hired amidst all the Justin Fields drama. He first cleaned house, and then, he started making moves according to his philosophy of running things. That left Chicago with plenty of cap space, and the first and ninth overall picks in the Draft. Caleb Williams will have lots of weapons to work with.
These are the players the Chicago Bears have on offense:
- WR Keenan Allen
- WR DJ Moore
- RB D’Andre Swift
- TE Cole Kmet
- TE Gerald Everett
- G Ryan Bates
- T Jake Curhan
- C Coleman Shelton
- G Matt Pryor
Their defense was 12th, borderline top 10 and with a defensive-minded coach like Matt Eberflus, and names like Montez Sweat, Tremaine Edmunds, Kevin Byard, Jaylon Johnson, and more talent, they should be fine on that side.
Best Bets on the Chicago Bears
Now, let’s get to the money side of it. Teams like the Atlanta Falcons have made moves in the NFC, but I think the Bears have a very solid core to go even further than them. So, let’s see the markets we like.

As you can see, it’s a tightly contested division. One that I am not fond of. The Lions have a really solid project and actually, you should eye that +150 if you are looking for an NFC North future. However, the Bears will have all the tools to compete if their coaching staff gets it together.

But, I bring you GOLD! Look at the odds to make the playoffs!

I usually don’t advise on betting juiced futures, it’s not my style of betting, but, when the value is there, I absolutely endorse it. See, Caleb Williams is coming to Chicago, in a wide-open NFC North, but even more, a wide-open NFC.
As of right now, they are at +1400 to win the NFC. That puts them seventh, behind

- Detroit Lions +550
- Philadelphia Eagles +700
- Dallas Cowboys +700
- Green Bay Packers +850
- Atlanta Falcons +1000

Yes! They are in front of the LA Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is debatable. At the same time, they’re below the Falcons, and I think the Bears have a better roster. The NFC has 7 representatives in the playoffs, and as of now, the Bears are projected to be on that list according to the odds. That said, having the Bears only 10 cents higher than the standard line of -110 is quite a sight.
Chicago Bears Total Wins
To get into the playoffs, it’s needless to say that you must have a winning record. Right now, the Bears’ win total for the 2024 NFL season is set at 8.5, with the over priced at -135. Now, you can play both this and the ‘To Make The Playoffs YES’ separately and cash both of them. Or, depending on the sportsbook you use, you can parlay them into a +119 price.
I’d rather play them separately, so you don’t risk any bad beats. There is NOTHING WORSE THAN A FUTURE BET BAD BEAT. Let’s get it, and good luck unless you’re fading me!
